One excellent source of plants is the sales put on by local garden clubs. These folks are enthusiasts, meaning that you can often find some very interesting plants, in good health, cheap. Keep an eye on the local paper for upcoming sales, or seek out contacts for the clubs and ask them if they have any upcoming sales scheduled.
