Consider other cooking options to save money.When it comes to cooking, your stove isn’t the only, and certainly not most efficient, game in town. Appliances like microwaves and crockpots have obvious advantages in the summer time (ie. they produce a lot less heat), but they also tend to save a lot in terms of money. A really efficient microwave can use 50% less energy than a conventional oven, while a crockpot can cook a whole meal for roughly 17 cents worth of electricity!
