Use The Half Method

Milk more from clothing detergents and other cleaning products.Those recommended portion amounts on such things as clothes detergent, fabric softener, dish soap, shampoo and more are set by the manufacturer who, surprise surprise, is trying to sell you more of its product. Try halving all recommended amounts and seeing if that does the job just as well. You’ll find that, most times, it will, and you’ll save a lot of money.
