Kick your yard saleing up to the next level by offering refreshments to buyers.
The easiest way to offer refreshments to your hot yard sale guests is to plan ahead and stock up on soda when it is on sale. Make sure you only get brands that your family will drink, so the leftovers will not go to waste. Start making ice several days ahead to keep the sodas cool. This is an easy “nice touch” to a sale, a potential source of money, and a good reason for buyers to linger longer. For cooler weather considering offering coffee, tea and perhaps doughnuts, although this will be more work and potentially more dangerous, particularly if there are a number of young children running around.
