Build a Fort

Fun and history all in one.Build a fort in the backyard with your kids. If you really want to take it to the next level, research a particular period of time where forts were popular (i.e.. The Middle Ages, the Alamo) and regale your kids with tales of knights or cavalry. Create your own story lines as you storm the gates of the “fort.” Serve cookies and milk and set off to storm the neighbor’s fort (get the neighbor’s permission before you storm their fort).
