Buy Meat “In Season”

There’s definitely right times of the year to buy certain kinds of meat.If you own a deep freeze, you can save a substantial amount of money by buying up meats “in season.” For example, just before Thanksgiving, the price of turkeys plummet, many times to the point where you can pick one up for free if you spend enough money at a given supermarket. Other times of the year where you can get real bargains on meats include:

-corned beef around St. Patrick’s Day

-hotdogs/hamburger around the 4th of July (in the United States)

-ham around Christmas and Easter.
