Keep a Price Book

A price book can be a very valuable savings tool.

One of the major keys to saving at the grocery store is to know the usual prices of items, and you can best do this by keeping a price book. A price book is simply a small notebook that you use to record the different prices of products at the different stores you hit every week. Note the product and the price for it at each store. Writing down the date that you recorded the price can also be useful. The price book can be an ongoing project that you always carry with you to the store, and you can add to it a little at a time (you’ll be surprised how quickly it grows and how useful it becomes).
