Meter Fun
Learn to read your meter and turn your electric usage into a game.
Everyday at the same time, go outside and jot down the meter reading (your utility company can give you information on how to do this). For the first couple of weeks or so, just note the numbers and how much power you used day to day. When you get comfortable with reading the meter, start tinkering with the utilities in your house. Run the radio instead of the TV for background noise. Turn off lights. Hang laundry out to dry. Keep track of the dwindling power usage, find out what uses the most electricity and save $$$.
