Pick Your Own

Put the gatherer back into hunter/gatherer.When berries, apples and other products come into season in your area, pack the family up and head out to pick your own. This is not only a fun family outing (pack a picnic lunch to really make it special), but will also provide you with a wealth of whatever you pick at rock-bottom prices. Make sure that you only pick what you can use, freeze, can or otherwise store. Some popular pick your own crops include blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apples, corn and pumpkins.
