Plan Ahead When It Comes To Sightseeing
Definitely do some planning before you even arrive at your destination.
Sit down with a map of the area and decide what you want to visit or see, then block out your time day by day. This will not only give some structure to your vacation in terms of doing everything you want, but will also save you money when it comes to transportation charges (you can plan to see stuff in specific areas on specific days).
