Recipe – Peanut Butter Suet

A great suet alternative. Squirrels and birds alike love this stuff!

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 cup water
1-3 cups birdseed (depending on the size of the seed; when in doubt, try 2 cups)

Combine all ingredients except for the birdseed and microwave for 5 minutes. Halfway through, stop the microwave and stir thoroughly to combine. Let it cool for a bit after microwave, then stir in the seed. When fully cool, shape into blocks that will fit in your suet feeder (or an onion bag) and freeze until needed.
