Seek Out Local Organizations
Fraternal organizations can provide a ready-made community of fun.Eagles, Elks, VFW… your area probably has a number of organizations that offer a wide variety of social activities available to those willing to pony up a modest membership fee. Search them out and find out 1) what they charge for membership, and 2) what sorts of activities they sponsor throughout the year. These groups offer a lot of fun, and a chance to feel like you belong to something very special.
