Pieces of your own plants can make perfect gifts.If your houseplants are getting away from you, consider dividing them or taking cuttings in early-mid autumn and creating a number of gift plants. Decorate the pots or tie ribbons and bows around them to make them special.

      I’ve started herb seeds before for Christmas gifts, and they were very much appreciated! Start several different kinds of seeds, like parsley, sage, basil, etc. in a single pot around December 1. By Christmas, they’ll be large enough to look and smell great.
