The Italian Pasta Basket

This gift basket is easy to pull together with items found in your local grocery store.Another idea for gift baskets is to do up an Italian pasta meal basket. Some of the items you can include in this are pasta, jarred sauces, olive oil, herb mixtures, wine, recipe cards, slotted spoons… just about anything that has a fairly good (maybe a couple of weeks) shelf life.

Makings for antipasto would also be good. Italian sausage, some nice smoked mozzerella, Italian dressing packet, etc. with a recipe downloaded from online. Yum!

I can antipasto to give for Christmas presents. Great way to use up some of the excess garden goodies that overwhelm in August. That would work well in an Italian basket, with the canned anipasto as a salad, then linguini with sauce, bread… some form of Mediterranean treat for dessert would also be very nice.
