Throw a Treasure Hunt

Find some hidden fun.Create your own treasure hunt for the kids — this works great at a party! Get a cardboard box that you can have your kids decorate, or try your own hand at it (decorating it to look like a treasure chest would be perfect). Fill it with anything you want — some ideas include candy, small toys, books, pens, fake “treasure”, etc. Hide the box somewhere, then start designing your treasure map. The map should have several areas that the kids have to hit before arriving at the treasure, and you can make it more complicated by adding clues in areas, creating poems, etc.
