Turning on the Stove? Fill It Up!

Use your stove more efficiently.Plan ahead to use your stove to cook more than one thing at a time. Heating it up for one item is a waste, but adding a second roast, potatoes to back or a pie will make more effective use of the stove’s heat.

Sometimes this doesn’t work if you have something that has to cook on say 350 and something on 425. Some things you can force to cook at a different temperature, but it’s usually not a good idea. What you can do though is cook the one item at 350, then turn the stove up to 425 to cook the second. You’ll only have to heat the stove an additional 75 degrees that way.
