Garlic Roasted Chicken
A rich garlic-loaded chicken from your crockpot? Youbetcha.
- 1 small (4 to 5 pound) roasting chicken
- salt, pepper, paprika
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 ounces butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Sprinkle the salt, pepper and paprika on the chicken, then split the garlic and place half in the chicken and spread the other half on the outside of it. Cut the butter into pats and place atop the chicken, then cover all with the chicken broth. Cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce to low and cook for an additional 5-7 hours., or until the chicken is tender. Scoop fat from the top of the garlic sauce and serve with the chicken.
