Swiss Steak
Stewed tomatoes make this both easy and very delicious.
- 2 tablespoons flour
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, cut in serving portions
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
Combine the flour and salt/pepper and pound into the steaks with a meat tenderizer. Brown steak in a skillet with the onion and butter. Place in crockpot with the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
