Shrimp Creole
Serve this delicious Creole over rice. If you want to be even more authentic and can find them, substitute crawfish for the shrimp.
- 1 1/2 cups diced celery
- 1 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 6 drops
, or to tasteTabasco - 1 lb. shrimp, deveined & shelled
Combine all ingredients except for the shrimp in a crockpot and cook on high for 3-4 hours, or low for 6-8 hours. During the last hour of cooking, add the shrimp.
