Ground Beef Chili
The flavor only gets better if you let this rest a day in your refrigerator before eating it.
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 large green bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- garlic powder to taste
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar, or to taste
- 2 cans (approx. 16 ounces each) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (16 ounces) tomato puree
- 1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans
- 2 cans (approx. 16 ounces each) chili hot beans
Brown the beef with the onion and green pepper, then drain. Mix these with the rest of the ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low for 7-9 hours.
