Plant a Colorful Vegetable Garden

Flowers or vegetables? Get the best of both worlds by carefully selecting what to plant.

Vegetables will feed your body (and wallet!), flowers your soul. You can combine them both by selecting your vegetables by color. Tomatoes and peppers are available in a multitude of colors, and you can easily find white eggplant, purple beans, and Swiss chard in a rainbow of colors. With a little careful planning you can create a garden that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also palette pleasing.
