Say No to Junk Food and Junk Beverages

Be kind to your waistline and wallet by ruling out the junk food.

Things like cookies and chips are not only loaded with fats and preservatives, they also take a needlessly large chunk out of your grocery budget with no nutritional return. Try to avoid them as much as possible with healthy foods such as cut up fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. If you really need to treat the sweet tooth every once in a while, try making your own cookies and snacks. You’ll save a bit over prepackaged snacks, and lose a lot of the preservatives.


In terms of beverages, why not water? It’s certainly a lot healthier for you than soda, and, oh, what’s the word? Free? Get in the habit of drinking water instead of soda or other beverages, and soon you won’t even miss them.
