Make Your Own Sidewalk Chalk

If you have an expanse of sidewalk or parking lot begging for a little temporary art, you’re going need to need some of these.

You can plan ahead here by stocking up on empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls to increase the “pallet” of colors you can make.

Ingredients:

2 quarts plaster of

Paris

1 quart water

food coloring

Mix together the plaster of

Paris and water, then add food coloring to separate small batches of the plaster of Paris. Pour these into paper towel “molds”, to a height of about 3-4 inches. Let dry, checking after about 3-4 days. When completely dry, remove from the molds and get artsy!
