Baking and Margarine

Why sticking with butter may be your best bet when it comes to baking.

Some margarines or other low-fat spreads may be good for some things, baking isn’t necessarily one of them. Before using these butter-substitutes the next time you’re baking cookies or any other baked good, read the side of the container carefully to see what it says about various uses you can or should put it to. Many times low-fat butter substitutes will ruin the texture and flavor of baked goods.
