Check For Yard Sale Restrictions
The first step in any yard sale.
Many communities have restrictions pertaining to yard sales. These could include how many you can have a year, how close to the curb you can get, and how and where you should hang your signs, among others. Some will even require you to have a permit to run a sale. Make sure you check with your local town clerk or other local government official to see if there any hoops you’ll need to jump through before you begin your sale.
