Removing Polyester From Irons

Melted polyester happens. Here’s how to get it off.

Start out by trying to scrape off the melted polyester from the iron’s surface with a small block of wood, or the edge of a wooden clothespin. If that doesn’t do the trick, try applying a couple of drops of nail polish remover to the polyester, then try again with the wood. Make sure you wipe the nail polish remover from the iron’s surface before using it on any clothing.
