Take The Early Train

Take the early train, as the song says, or maybe the late train to save on your daily train commute.Contact your transit authority to see how much you could save commuting into work on off-peak hours. It could be a sizable amount, perhaps up to almost a third of your total commute cost. Check with The Job to see if you could possibly switch your hours to flextime, coming in earlier or later in the morning. Added bonus: your commute will be a lot less packaged and much more enjoyable.
