Periodic Air Filter Maintenance

Try these simple steps to improve your gas mileage.A dirty air filter is an inefficient one, but you can keep it worked at its best by doing the following once a month. Remove the filter and tap it against the driveway or other hard surface to remove dirt and other contaminants. Then wipe the filter down with a rag soaked in a little gasoline to get at that dirt which won’t come free with a tap. Don’t soak the filter in water, or try and spray it down, as this could ruin it. Place the filter back in place (turning it to a different position, if you can), then repeat in a month.
