Apple Crisp

The perfect end to a roasted chicken dinner. Try serving this with ice cream or whipped cream (or both, mmm).

  • 6 medium cooking apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

Arrange the apple slices in a buttered crockpot. Combine the rest of the ingredients until you get a “crumb” consistency and spoon over the apples, pushing down slightly so that the crisp is firmly packed. Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
