Essentially ground beef egg-washed and then fried, this is a great way to cook up hamburgers in a different way. Serves four.

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder

1 egg, beaten
½ cup milk

Cracker crumbs

1 pound ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced

Vegetable oil for frying

Directions:

Set up your egg wash first. Combine the first three ingredients in one bowl, the egg and milk in a second bowl, and the cracker crumbs in a third. Mix the garlic in with the ground beef and form into patties. Dip the patties first in the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally the cracker crumbs. Fry them in hot oil until brown on each side. Serve with your choice of gravy.
