Chicken Noodle Soup

Try this from start to finish chicken noodle soup recipe.

  • 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds chicken pieces
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 leek or small onion chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 ounces noodles

Toss all ingredients except for the noodles in the crockpot and cook on low for 5-6 hours. Remove the chicken and bay leaf. Remove the meat from the chicken bones, dice the meat, and return it to the pot along with the noodles. Cook for 1 more hour or until the noodles are done.
