Crockpot Lasagna

This method of cooking lasagna is a bit less laborious than the traditional method.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 ounces ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 12 ounces tomato paste
  • 12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces smoked sausage, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Break noodles into one-inch pieces and boil until just underdone. Drain. Brown the beef with the onion and sausage in a skillet. Drain. Add all ingredients to a crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
